Health Center Hosts Legislative Assistant for Tour
Last week, Annie Humphrey, a legislative assistant for Congressman Lucas, toured Variety Care and learned more about how community health centers are addressing Oklahoma's health care needs. Pictured above, Annie toured the Variety Care's Straka Terrace health center and met with clinicians, leaders, and staff. Congressman Lucas has been a long-time supporter of the health center program and represents seven health center grantees serving over 130,000 patients in the state's third congressional district.
Revised Reporting Requirement and Timeline for Provider Relief Fund
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) recently released
revised reporting requirements for recipients of Provider Relief Fund (PRF) funding. The deadline for reporting on PRF funds expended by June 30, 2021 has been extended to September 30, 2021. This deadline was originally set for July 31, 2021.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) also confirmed that last week that health centers generally must
expend all PRF funds by the end of this month. If your health center received funding before June 30, 2020, the deadline to expend funding is June 30, 2021, including rounds one and two of the "general distribution" and funding from the "rural distribution." Any funds health centers received from HHS after June 30, 2020 have deadlines depending on when funds were received. View the
HHS announcement for more information.
Health centers are invited to a free webinar on PRF rules and reporting requirements on Thursday June 24 at 2:00 PM ET.
